Statesville Rec Department gearing up for Youth Baseball, Adult Softball leagues
Youth Baseball Program
The Statesville Recreation and Parks Department is making plans for a 2019 Youth Baseball Program.
Two divisions will be offered, including 5&6 year-old T-ball and 7&8 year-old Machine Pitch.
A player’s age as of April 1, 2019, determines the age in which the player is eligible to play this season.
The registration fee is $10 for City of Statesville residents and $15 for non-residents. The deadline to turn in registration forms and fees at the Statesville Recreation and Parks Department Administration Office, 1875 Simonton Road, is Monday, April 1.
League practices are tentatively scheduled to begin in the week of April 15.

Adult Softball League
The Statesville Recreation and Parks Department will hold an organizational meeting for the Adult Softball League at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 4, at the Statesville Fitness and Activity Center, 1875 Simonton Road.
All team managers or a team representative MUST attend the organizational meeting. Any team not represented at the organizational meeting may be refused entry into the program.
Leagues: Men – Open, Recreational (Church/Industrial); Women – Open
League Entry Fee: To be determined
Deadline for Roster and Entry Fee: Monday, April 1, by 5 p.m. No teams will be accepted after the deadline. There will be a $11 late fee for players added after the April 1 deadline.
Umpire Fee: Each team pays one umpire $20 per game.
Balls: Each team hits their own ASA approved softball. Men – 12inch, 52 core/300 compression; Women – 11inch, 47 core/375 compression
