Sprint into Spring this Saturday at ESC Park

With an event for every age and ability level, the 5th Annual Sprint Into Spring 5K, 10K & Fun Run is set to kick off the new season on Saturday, March 3, at Troutman’s ESC Park.
The race will begin at the park, located at 338 North Avenue behind the Town Hall, and cover as much of the park as possible. Participants will also be running on the town’s streets, which will be blocked off and secured by the Troutman Police Department and race volunteers.
A separate Fun Run gives the entire family an opportunity for an enjoyable fitness activity.
Registration and packet pick up begins at 7 a.m. on race day, with the 5K & 10K races starting at 8 a.m. The Fun Run is scheduled for 8:45 a.m., followed by a 9:30 a.m. awards presentation
The top 3 overall male and female runners will receive awards, as will the top finishing males & females in the 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over age groups.
The event proceeds will benefit the construction and development of Phase 2 of Troutman ESC Park, including the additions of a splash pad, a walking track around the soccer fields, and an amphitheater.
Since 2013, over 700 individuals have participated in Sprint into Spring, raising more than $17,000 for Troutman ESC Park.
Runners can register online at https://racesonline.com/events/sprint-into-spring. They can also register by picking up a form at Troutman Town Hall. Registration fees for the 10K are $35, with the 5K costing $25 and the one-mile Fun Run $10.
Registration form and payment can be delivered or mailed to Town Hall at 400 North Eastway Drive, Troutman, NC 28166.
