Registration underway for 2019 ICSAL volleyball season
Special to SVLfreenews.com
Registration for the 2019 Iredell County Sheriff's Athletic League (ICSAL) volleyball season is underway and will continue until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 15. Any child living in Iredell County between the ages of 9 and 15 are eligible to participate in the league.
Registration is free.
The ICSAL's focus is to provide the youth of Iredell County with competitive activities that teach fundamental athletic techniques. The league place an emphasis on gang and drug education during every practice. Although the league is competitive and plays a 10-game schedule, the goal is not to create exceptional athletes. Instead, ICSAL wants to provide participants access to tools that will help them to grow as a member of our community.
Games will be played at Statesville High School this year. Practice will begin after teams are assigned in mid-March.
Volunteers are welcome, and coaches are always needed!
ICSAL also welcomes the participation of any adults who would like to volunteer as a coach or other staff. They can complete the same form and mark it as adult/coach.
To register your child please go to Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Website and click on "How Do I" at the top of the web page and then click on Sheriff’s Athletic League. If you have any questions, contact Detective Sgt. Jason Lowrance at 704-928-4676, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
