Mooresville breaks game open with 21-point outburst in third quarter

West Iredell's losing streak reached four games Friday night as the Warriors fell 65-50 at home against high-flying Mooresville.
The Warriors shot 32 percent from the field and made just three of 24 attempts from beyond the three-point arc as they fell behind early against the Blue Devils' potent offensive attack. Mooresville broke open a 29-21 halftime lead with a 21-point outburst in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
Michael Allison and Shakur Daye led West Iredell with 11 points apiece. Andrew Warren finished with nine, and Jakobe Chambers contributed eight points and six rebounds.
The Warriors fell to 7-13 overall and 2-8 in the North Piedmont Conference.
With the win, Mooresville (14-5 overall; 8-1 NPC) remained tied with Alexander Central atop the league standings.
