Mrs. Elizabeth Roseboro Gregory, 78, Statesville, was born in Lincoln County, N.C., on February 18, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Lovett Roseboro and Amie Reid Roseboro. She departed this life on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Depriest Dick Gregory; two sons, Bobby Roseboro and James Roseboro; her brothers, Edward Roseboro, Charlie Roseboro, Samuel Lee Roseboro; and three sisters, Pansy Poe, Virginia "Coot" Roseboro and Betty Kay Mayo.

Lib, as she was affectionately called, attended Lincoln County Schools. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Holiness Church and also attended Garden of Eden Church. She was a true woman of God and had a great love for her family, friends and neighbors. As the matriarch of the family, her porch was her stage and she used it to entertain, keep it real and inspire all who came by.

She leaves to celebrate and remember her life, one son, Terry Lee Roseboro of the home; four daughters, Barbara (David) Dobbins of Statesville, Melissa Roseboro of Washington, D.C., Paula Tucker and Pamela Roseboro, both of Statesville; two sisters, Annie Mae Roseboro and Edith Harmon, both of Statesville; 19 grandchildren, David Maddox, Tonya (Xavier) Zsarmani, Courtney Maddox, Terrick Maddox, Shana Roseboro, Quentin Roseboro, Demetrius Roseboro, Justice Roseboro, Tanya Roseboro, Jamie Roseboro, Terrance Roseboro, Maurice (Samantha) Roseboro, Amie Roseboro, Terry Lee Roseboro, Jr., Terrence Hamilton, Tevin Roseboro, Sherrill Moss, Paige Moss, and Tasha Baugness; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins including Deborah Williams, Cynthia Arnold) Currey and Vincent Roseboro; other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Monday, July 3, 2017, at 2 p.m. at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Minister Gary Roseboro will officiate and Prophetess Debra Williams will eulogize with burial to follow in the Belmont Cemetery.

Mrs. Gregory will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends from 1:30-2 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.
