Sheriff: Three suspects face drug charges after traffic stop

Two men and a woman face charges after Iredell County Sheriff's Office deputies seized methamphetamine, marijuana and other drugs during a traffic stop on Sunday, June 8.
Deputies assigned to the ICSO Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle on Interstate 77 northbound at the 49 mile marker for a traffic violation on that date, Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release.
When the deputies approached the vehicle, they observed three subjects in the vehicle. They asked the driver, identified as Jerry Lee Lippard III, 38, of Statesville, to step out of the vehicle.
They searched Lippard for weapons after further investigation and found him to be in possession of marijuana and Buprenorphine, Campbell said.
The deputies then searched the vehicle and located over 30 grams of crystal methamphetamine along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia, according to the news release.
The passengers, identied as Breanna Frances Oliver, 33, of Mooresville, and Michael Joseph Gamboa, 34, of Charlotte, were then searched.
Oliver was in possession of over 40 grams of methamphetamine along with several Buprenorphine pills and strips, while Gamboa was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, Campbell said.
Through criminal records checks, the deputies learned Oliver had outstanding warrants for her arrest for removing the GPS monitoring device she was required to wear as part of her probation, according to the news release.
All three suspects were arrested and transported them to the Iredell County Detention Center, where they went before Magistrate Tutterrow.
Lippard was charged with Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine by Possession, Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine by Transport, Felony Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver Schedule III (Buprenorphine), Felony Maintain a Vehicle for the Sale of a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While License Revoked. He received a $250,000 bond.
Oliver was charged with Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine by Possession, Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine by Transport, Felony Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver Methamphetamine, and Felony Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver Schedule III (Buprenorphine). She was served with her outstanding arrest warrant. Oliver received a $255,000 bond.
Gamboa was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He received a $5,000 bond. Gamboa is currently on probation for Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and has multiple convictions for misdemeanor drug offenses and traffic offenses.
