FROM STAFF REPORTS
A 36-year-old woman faces a felony assault charge in connection with a stabbing in a Tarrington Drive home last month.
Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Kimberly Michelle Hobbs in a news release on Monday morning.
Hobbs was charged with one count of felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and one count of misdemeanor assault in the presence of a minor on December 23, according to an ICSO news release.
ICSO deputies were dispatched to 141 Tarrington Drive in reference to a domestic assault between a male and female at the residence on that date, Campbell said.
When deputies arrived, they discovered Hobbs had stabbed a man in the stomach with a knife after a verbal argument, according to the news release. The victim was treated at a local hospital and released, Campbell said.
Hobbs was taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
