Sheriff: Gang member and convicted drug dealer face felony charges after ICSO investigation

A verified gang member who lives in Davidson and a Statesville man face felony drug charges after Iredell County Sheriff's Office deputies began investigating after they observed "what appeared to be a drug deal" in progress over the weekend.
Two deputies assigned to the ICSO Aggressive Criminal Enforcement team who were on foot patrol encountered the men in a parked car in the area of East Wilson Avenue and South Church Street about 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release.
The ICSO had received complaints about possible drug activity occurring in the area, Campbell said.
The two deputies approached the vehicle and identified themselves as ICSO deputies and then spoke with the men, who were identified as Brandon Maurice Duff and Dominic Antwan Diggs, according to the news release.
After further discussions with the two men, and based on information gathered through further investigation, the deputies searched the vehicle and found approximately 7 grams of crack cocaine, over 40 grams of marijuana, and numerous items consistent with the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics, Campbell said.
Duff, 29, and Diggs, 34, were arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
Duff, who lives on Potts Street in Davidson, was charged with Felony Possession with the Intent to Sale and Deliver Cocaine, Felony Possession with the Intent to Sale and Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Felony Maintaining Vehicle for the Sale of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He received a $40,000 bond on these charges.
A verified Blood gang member, Duff is currently on probation for Sell and Deliver of Marijuana, Campbell said. He has been convicted in the past for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver Cocaine, Sell of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of less than half-ounce of Marijuana, Disorderly Conduct, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and multiple Driving While License Revoked Charges.
Diggs, who lives on Garfield Street in Statesville, was charged with Possession with the Intent to Sale and Deliver Cocaine, Possession with the Intent to Sale and Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He received a $35,000 bond.
According to the ICSO, Diggs is currently on probation for selling cocaine and has been convicted in the past for Attempted Trafficking of Heroin, Opiates, or Opium, two counts of Sell and Deliver Schedule I controlled substance, four counts of Sell and Deliver Marijuana, two counts of Sell and Deliver Cocaine, four Counts of Possession of Less than a half-ounce of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor Maintaining a Dwell/Place/Vehicle for a Controlled Substance, and two counts of Second-Degree Trespassing.
