Piedmont HealthCare presents Friday after Five Concert Series

When: Friday, September 6, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Downtown Statesville
Details: Beer, wine, soft drinks and food available for purchase. Caribbean Roots will be performing. Bring chairs and enjoy a night of music. No pets or outside beverages or coolers are allowed.


Friday Adult & Youth Drop In Games

When: Friday, September 6, 6 p.m.
Where: Statesville Soccer Complex, 2012 Simonton Road, Stateesville
Details: Hosted by Impact Futbol Club. This event is open to anyone that wants to drop in and play a little competitive futbol. There will be a field for adults and for youth. Cost is $5 per player. To register online, visit www.impactfutbolclub.com


Adult Prom

When: Friday, September 6, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Statesville Civic Center, 300 South Center Street, Statesville
Details: Open to adults age 21 and older. Come experience or re-live the night everyone reminisces about or just come for a great time. Couples, singles, friends or girls/guys night out. There will be a cash bar with a selection of beers, wines and malts starting at only $1.50. Master DJ Tim Wilson will be the life of the party with his DJ service. Hors d’oeuvres, fruit and chocolate bar will be complimentary and served by Dana Joy. All attendees will get a free entry into the door prizes and free parking. Semi-formal or formal attire only, no T-shirts, jeans, tennis shoes, crocs etc. Tickets may be purchased by visiting www.eventbrite.com or may be purchased at the door. Tickets are $40 for singles and $60 for couples or $125 for a group of six.


Coats for Kids Fundraiser

When: Friday, September 6, 5 to 10 p.m.
Where: Wine Maestro, 121 West Broad Street, Statesville
Details: Statesville Professional Fire Fighters Association is hosting its annual fundraiser at Wine Maestro during and after the Friday After Five in Downtown Statesville. Each year money is raised to buy brand new coats for kids in the Iredell/Statesville School system. Come join in and help the community we serve.


4th Annual 9-11 Ride Presented by RKMC NC13

When: Saturday, September 7, 10 a.m.
Where: Cool Springs Volunteer Fire Department, 672 Mocksville Hwy., Statesville
Details: We welcome all riders in a ride that remembers what happened 18 years ago on 9/11/2001. There will be food, 50/50, door prizes and entertainment at the end of the ride. As always, the presentation will be at the end of the ride to remember the sacrifices that were given that day by so many people. We welcome all emergency personal from all over to ride your motorcycle or Apparatus in the escorted ride thru Iredell County.
