Central Piedmont Out of the Darkness Walk

Details: A walk to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. Hops & Harmony Craft Brew Fest
When: Saturday, October 5, 1 to 5 p.m.
Where: Downtown Statesville
Details: Join us for Statesville’s 4th annual craft beer festival featuring many North Carolina craft beer and ciders, as well as great live music from some amazing bands, right in the heart of Downtown Statesville. Sample and enjoy craft beers and ciders from 20 local and regional breweries, all while listening to a great lineup of live bands. Several of our Downtown restaurants will be onsite offering delicious fare for your convenience. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the gate, price includes unlimited tastings, great live music and a souvenir tasting glass. This event is rain or shine; no refunds will be given.
Statesville Housing Authority's Annual Shock the Block

Details: “Drop the Mic” Talent Show Off Moment, presented by ISCEC, Inc. Talent show is including but not limited to dancing, singing, poetry and any other talent you would like to show off. Prizes include: 3rd place, $100; 2nd place, $200; and 1st place, $300. There will also be a Hula Hoop Contest, Limbo Contest, Volleyball Games, and Bingo. 2019 Fall Fun Days
When: Saturday, October 5, 12 to 5 p.m., and Sunday, October 6, 1 to 5 p.m.
Where: Rescue Ranch, 1424 Turnersburg Highway, Statesville
Details: Every weekend from Sept. 28 - Oct. 27, we will have Fall Fun Days on site at the Ranch. Visitors will be able to ride on a hayride through our famous Hay Art, interact with our Animal Ambassadors, complete the Corn Maze, play on the inclusive playground, attempt our apple chucking, and much more. Each week will have a different theme and activities. Admission is $12 for 14 years and up, $7 for children 13 and younger, under 2 are free. Piedmont Healthcare Party In The Park

Hats & Horses Gala for First Responders Supports Services

Where: The Crawford Farm, 216 Cannon Road, Statesville
Details: Join us for a night virtual horse racing, dinner, drinks, and live music. All proceeds benefit First Responders Support Services of Iredell County. All in attendance are asked to wear their best Kentucky Derby attire, grab a mint julep, and enjoy a great night at Crawford 'Downs.'
