Friday Night Lights: West Iredell vs. Statesville

Where: Statesville High School
Details: Coming off a thrilling 49-35 victory over Alexander Central, Statesville (3-0) will attempt to remain unbeaten when rival West Iredell (1-1) visits Greyhound Hollow. The Warriors suffered a 25-0 loss against South Iredell last week.
2019 Fall Art Crawl
When: Friday, September 13, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Downtown Statesville
Details: The Art Crawl will showcase more than 50 artists in 40 different shops, restaurants, and businesses scattered throughout the heart of Downtown Statesville. Enjoy new sculpture exhibits in the Statesville Sculpture Garden as well as new art on the Cooper St Gallery! It is self-guided and you can begin the Crawl at any location. Just look for the sidewalk markers indicating a participating business. A program/map directing attendees to all the locations and listing all participating artists will be available at each location. New to Art Crawl this year will be free trolley rides presented by Griffin Insurance Agency.
Movies in the Park

Where: City of Statesville Soccer Complex, 2012 Simonton Road, Statesville
Details: Free event for the whole family. "Incredibles 2" will begin at approximately 8:45 p.m. Cash only concessions will be available.
Living History Day
When: Saturday, September 14, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Gregory Creek Homestead, 1335 Museum Road, Statesville
Details: This living history event will feature live educational interpretations of what life for the early settlers of the Carolinas may have been like. Experience kitchen life, participate in common children's activities of the mid-18th Century, and peek inside historic cabins from Iredell and Alexander counties. Iredell Walk for Recovery
When: Sunday, September 15, 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: Troutman ESC Park, 338 North Avenue, Troutman
Details: Featuring the wonderful sounds of Rockie Lynne, free food, kids zone, special entertainment, games and prize drawings. There will also be vendors with recovery information and activities. This event is free to the public but everyone is asked to register to help plan for food needs. Participants are encouraged to form a walking team and get special recoginition for teams with the most purple, most entertaining, most creative, loudest, best signs and most participants. 2019 Western Piedmont Autumn Harvest Pageant
When: Saturday, September 14, 10:30 a.m.
Where: Comfort Inn & Suites, 1214 Greenland Drive, Statesville
Details: Hosted by Carolina Dogwood Festival. There will be age divisions from birth up to age 24.
Evening of Jazz at the Vineyard
When: Saturday, September 14, 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Daveste’ Vineyards, 155 Lytton Farm Road, Troutman
Details: The award-winning group Freeport will perform. No cover charge and no outside beverages are allowed. Wine, craft beer, and a variety of sodas will be available for purchase.
