2019 Agritunity Small Farms Conference

When: Saturday, February 9, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Iredell County Agricultural Center, 444 Bristol Dr., Statesville
Details: The event is geared toward backyard growers, small farmers, or anyone interested in agriculture. Guest speaker will be Carol Coulter from Heritage Homestead Goat Dairy. Cost is free


2019 Statesville Comic Con

When: Saturday, February 9, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Statesville Civic Center, 300 South Center Street, Statesville
Details: Demonstrations by Dusk in Action and Dusk and The Dead Parrot, vendors, free comic books to first 100 guests, live gaming, raffles and Crafts by Craft Night Out for $20. Cost to enter is $5 for adults and $2 for kids 3 to 12.


St. Valentine's Tea at The Sharpe House

When: Saturday, February 9, 12 to 4 p.m.
Where: The Historic Sharpe House, 402 South Center Street, Statesville
Details: Celebrate love with delicacies and tea from the kitchen and participate in a valentine raffle. Cost is $18 for adults  and$9 for kids ages 7 to 12. Kids 6 and under are free.


STEAM Saturday: The Heart

When: Saturday, February 9, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Iredell Museums, 134 Court Street, Statesville
Details: Kids will learn how to build a functioning heart model, while younger visitors will have a heart craft station. Cost is $5 for non-members and free for members.


Addicted to Love

When: Saturday, February 9, 5 to 11 p.m.
Where: Twisted Oak American Bar and Grill, 121 North Center Street, Statesville
Details: A non-romantic option for Valentines. Food, adult beverages and 12 different local and regional bands performing. Cost is $5. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
