Piedmont HealthCare Friday After Five Summer Concert Series

When: Friday, May 10, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: In Downtown Statesville on West Broad Street in front of Mitchell Community College.
Details: Country music artist Tim Elliott performs. Beer, wine, soft drinks and food will be available for purchase. Bring your chairs and enjoy a night of music, but no pets, outside beverages, or coolers are allowed.


Theatre Statesville Presents Nunsense

When: Friday-Saturday, May 10-11, 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 12, 2 p.m.
Where: Twisted Oak Bar and Grill, 121 North Center Street, Statesville
Details: Nunsense is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser. Tickets are $15 and May be purchased by visiting www.statesvilletheatre.com


Living History Day: Backcountry Medicine

When: Saturday, May 11, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Gregory Creek Homestead, 1335 Museum Road, Statesville
Details: This is living history event will feature live educational interpretations of what life was like for early settlers of the Carolinas. Cost is free but donations are welcomed.


Wine & Music with Sandy Herrault

When: Saturday, May 11, 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: Daveste Vineyards, 155 Lytton Farm Road, Troutman
Details: Violinist Sandy Herrault performs. No Cover Charge. No outside beverages/Coolers allowed on Davesté property. Wine, Craft Beer, and a variety of sodas available for purchase during event. Concerts are Rain or Shine under the covered Pavilion. Seating is available but fills up fast. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Picnic baskets are allowed.


Free CPR Training

When: Saturday, May 11, 10 a.m.
Where: Statesville Fitness and Activity Center, 1875 Simonton Road, Statesville.

2nd Annual Lady Blues Golf Tournament

When: Saturday, May 11, 9 a.m.
