Davis Regional Medical Center recently upgraded its surgical robotic equipment.
The hospital's sophisticated robotic technology enables surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures with unrivaled precision. Patients experience less pain, less scarring, shorter hospital stays and quicker return to normal activities.
“We are thrilled to provide this state-of-the-art surgical option for the patients in our community,” noted Josh Snow, Davis Regional CEO. “Davis Regional remains committed to bringing the most innovative technological capabilities to our area and this is yet another step in the right direction.”
The hospital is hosting a “Name Our Robot” contest as a way for area businesses to learn about robotic technology while having fun. The winning team will receive a $500 donation to a charity, along with a “VIP” tour of the Robot and hospital's surgical suite.
To enter the contest, simply submit a name for our robot and a one paragraph description of why you chose this particular name. Submissions should be emailed to Janie.Stikeleather@DavisRegional.com by end of day on July 15. Please include a contact name and daytime phone number in your email. The winning name will be selected by a special team at Davis Regional.
The contest is open to any business affiliated with the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce. Employees and immediate family members of area hospitals are excluded from this contest. Entries should be from chamber members, and multiple entries per group are acceptable. Submission must include a one-paragraph description of why you chose that name, plus a contact name and daytime phone number. Deadline for submissions is midnight on Monday, July 15. The winner will be announced by August 1.
By claiming the prize, the winning team authorizes the use, without additional compensation, of his or her name and/or photograph for promotional purposes in any medium which Davis Regional Medical Center may deem appropriate.
