FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Statesville Police Department is investigating the following crime reports:

Attempted Burglary/Breaking & Entering of a Vehicle, 1400 block of Wilson Lee Blvd., Dec. 29: Unknown white male suspect was found in victim’s vehicle, another white male was standing as “lookout” near the house. A male at the residence chased the suspects down 7th Street, but lost sight of them. Suspects described as two white males, including one with fiery red hair. Both were short and wearing hoodies. Nothing taken from the vehicle. Victim also found where suspects tried to kick open back door of the residence.

Breaking & Entering/Larceny of a Residence, 300 block of Hill Street, Dec. 21-28: Suspects stole an Echo hedge trimmer and a Troy-Bilt blower from crawl space of home.

• Tow Dolly theft from Garage, 310 South Miller Avenue, Dec. 27-28: A blue and yellow tow dolly was taken from a business. Dolly had been chained to an awning, but the chain was stolen too.
