Mitchell expands summer Public Safety Camp

Mitchell Community College recently announced expansion of to the popular Public Safety summer camp. Rising eighth-, ninth- and 10th-graders are now eligible for this 4½-day camp exploring careers in fire service, rescue, law enforcement and Emergency Medical Service.

Mitchell and Career Academy and Technical School (CATS) are partnering to offer the Public Safety Camp. Students will spend 4½ days, from June 25-29, learning about the many rewarding careers in public safety. Topics will include fire service, rescue, law enforcement, Emergency Medical Service, firehouse cooking and Public Safety professionalism.


Registration deadline for the camp is June 1. Cost is $50, which includes various activities/supplies and is non-refundable. For additional information and registration, please visit
