FROM STAFF REPORTS

Lake Norman State Park will host a stargazing event on Friday, April 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Swim Beach Parking Lot, located at 1412 State Park Road.

This astronomy event, along with games and activities, will help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first moon walk this year. Piedmont Amateur Astronomy Club will be on hand to help attendees gaze at the heavens.

Friends of Lake Norman State Park (FLANO) volunteers will also help at the vent. Check out the membership information and original design FLANO T-shirts for sale at the event.
