The Iredell County Public Library has a wide range of events planned for its Statesville, Troutman and Harmony branches in January. Here's a list of programs:
Tuesday Teens: College Prep. Every Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Learn valuable skills including how to fill out college applications, FAFSA forms, and locating scholarship opportunities. For more information contact the Youth Services Department at 704-878-3097.
Young Adult Makerspace: Memory Wire Bracelets. Thursday, January 10, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
This young adult maker program is aimed at grades 6-12. Learn to make a creative memory wire bracelet. All supplies & tools will be provided. Space is limited so sign-up is required. Call 704-878-3097 or sign up at the Youth Services Desk.
Adulting 101. Thursday, January 24, 5 to 6 p.m.

Lunch & Learn: Master Gardeners. Wednesday, January 30, 12 to 1 p.m.
Master Gardener Chris Cook will be joining us at the Statesville Library to host an informative gardening program, followed by a Q&A session. Chris features a new topic each month, and will be here to answer any questions you may have about lawn or gardening care.
Let It Flow Yoga. Thursday, January 3, and Monday, January 28, at 5:30 p.m. Yoga instructors from Let It Flow Yoga in Troutman will be presenting on the importance of yoga and how it plays a key role in healthy living and wellness. Book Warriors. Tuesday, January 8, 4 to 5 p.m.
Enjoy interactive trivia and pizza and our monthly book club for middle schoolers. This month's book is Greenglass House by Kate Milford.
Themes & Treats Book Club: Best of Goodreads. Wednesday, January 9, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Read something that was nominated by readers like you for the Goodreads Choice Awards. Fiction and nonfiction titles are welcome! Enjoy discussion, coffee, and snacks provided by Troutman Friends of the Library.
Adult Pinterest Club: Paint Night. Thursday, January 24, 5:40 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Paint a winter scene on canvas for our semi-annual Paint Night. Contact Shellie at 704-528-2682 to register.
DIY Mini Spa Kit. Thursday, January 10, 5 to 6 p.m.
Join us and create your own spa kit! All supplied provided, and space is limited. Sign up in person at Harmony Library or by phone at 704-546-7086. All participants and attendees must be 18-plus.
Maker Monday: Newspaper Polar Bear. Monday, January 14, 4 to 5 p.m.
Join us for another crafty Maker Monday meeting, where we'll be teaching your little ones to create their very own newspaper polar bear. For more information on our Maker programs, contact the Harmony branch at 704-546-7086.
Adult Pinterest Club: Snow Man Wind Chimes. Tuesday, January 15, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Student Service Opportunity: Valentines Cards. Tuesday, January 22, All Day
Student may earn one hour of volunteer time by creating Valentine's Day cards for our friends at the retirement home. Stop by any time throughout the day!
