Kids and parents looking for fun activities over spring break can check out the Spring Science Camp April 3-6 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Allison Woods Outdoor Learning Center and Iredell County 4-H are partnering to offer this unique event.

Iredell County 4-H Youth Development Director Kay Bridges will help lead participants in a variety of entertaining outdoor activities, science experiments, and games over the four-day workshop. The camp is open to students in first through fifth grades, according to Paige Jackson, education director.

Allison Woods Outdoor Learning Center began in 1993 as a hidden gem behind the trees, according to Selena Goodin, executive director. The seven staff members have a variety of scientific backgrounds, including biology, health care, geology, chemistry, pharmaceutical, forensics and law enforcement, and falconry.
