Coleman expands practice to Statesville location

Krystal Coleman, DNP-NP-C, recently announced the opening of her Statesville location. Coleman, an experienced, certified nurse practitioner, is joining Dr. Henry Walters and Dr. Michael Salter at the Davis Medical Group office located on Davie Avenue. Coleman will see patients on selected weekdays in Statesville and will also continue to see patients at the Stony Point office she shares with Rob Swedlund, PA-C.
A graduate of Radford University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, Coleman is a family nurse practitioner. She completed a DNP Residency at Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salem, Va.
Coleman graduated with honors and remains a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Her community service includes participating in community and global endeavors, such as mentoring future health care professionals and leaders, and conducting medical and construction mission work in Honduras.
As a DNP, she offers care for the entire family, performing diagnostic tests and screening evaluations as well as managing overall patient care, and prescribing medications.
Coleman is very adept at developing treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases, educating and guiding patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits, and understanding the changes in health throughout the aging process. She promotes both scholarship and evidence-based practice with an overall goal of improving clinical practice and patient outcomes.
