Dixie's Fish & Chicken owner, staff celebrate opening of Troutman location
A large crowd gathered at Dixie's Fish & Chicken for a ceremonial ribbon cutting on Tuesday.

Owner Gus Kazakos, his daughter Lisa, and Troutman Mayor Teross Young, along with a full complement of town staff and Dixie’s Fish & Chicken employees, officially cut the ribbon to celebrate the restaurant’s opening in the Food Lion Shopping Center on Tuesday morning.
The restaurant, which had a soft opening on June 28, has quickly become a popular stop for Troutman residents and others who have discovered its heaping plates of tasty fish, chicken, sandwich, burger, salad and hot dog choices, along with a long lists of sides.
The bright white and red decor creates a clean, modern look, with beautiful hand painted graphics of a fish and chicken as well as the store logo and location that graces the dining area.
The restaurant has indoor seating for 64 customers, along with outdoor shaded tables for those who want a little sunshine with their meal.
The store will operate from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week The full service drive-thru window will also provide customers with a quick meal pick-up option. Customers can also order online and choose a pickup time through the store's website.
