Troutman Elementary Fall Festival set for Sept. 29
BY DEBBIE PAGE
The Troutman Elementary Fall Festival is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. The event will feature inflatables, food, raffle baskets, DJ, vendors, and more.
This event promises fun for all ages. Wristbands are $10 if purchased by Sept. 25 and are $15 at the door. Wristbands include unlimited inflatable jumping fun.
Wristbands are not required to attend the event. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door for $1 each. Tickets are used to purchase raffle entries or food or to participate in the cake walk or bingo.
The cake walk, probably the most popular part of the Fall Festival, is not possible without donations of cakes, cookies, and other treats. The Troutman Elementary PTO is asking parents and community members to donate some sort of treat, either store bought or home made.
Even a box of Twinkies or granola bars would be appreciated because the kids like having lots of different things to choose from when they win. Donations will be accepted all week at school or in the office.
Parents can also send the sweet treat on the bus to give to the student’s teacher or hand it off during car rider drop off or pick-up.
The PTO is also seeking baskets in all shapes, sizes and styles (or even fun buckets) to use for the raffle. To donate, please feel free to send them to school with a student (labeled “PTO”) or drop them by the office any time.
Troutman Elementary is at 220 South Main Street.
