LNSC 00 Force wins Fall Classic championship

The LNSC Force won the Lake Norman Soccer Club Fall Classic championship last weekend.

The LNSC 00 Force team was very convincing in their sweep at the Lake Norman Soccer Club Fall Classic tournament this past weekend.

The team is comprised of some of the best area players from the Piedmont area, including starters from North Iredell High, South Iredell High, Lake Norman High, Hough High, Mooresville High and West Rowan in addition to Concord and Lincolnton area schools. The club competes in the top echelons of competitive youth soccer.

The LNSC 00 Force had two clean sheets for the weekend tournament, including an impressive 4-0 victory over Cainhoy Atheletic from Mt Pleasant, S.C., in the championship game. Cainhoy Athletic is currently ranked 10th in South Carolina.

The LNSC Force team is coached by Stephen Chaconas, who recently became one of very few coaches in all of United States to achieve a USSF Senior A Coaching license. In addition, Coach Chaconas, and Lake Norman Soccer Club have helped send nearly 150 youth players on to play college soccer since 2011, while winning several State Championships, Regional Championships and a National Championship along the way.

The 00 Force Boys will continue play this coming weekend at the NCFC Boys College Showcase in Raleigh in front of over 215 college coaches. The boys are looking to impress and continue their success. They will then participate at the ENPL Showcase the first weekend of December in Mooresville at the Mazzeppa Road Soccer Complex. This is a national level showcase and one of the first of its kind as the ENPL continues to cement itself as a primary pathway for players in the United States. The competition will host some of the best clubs from Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The clubs attending the event have combined to produce over 500 college players in the past four years, as well as seven 2016 State Champions, six Regional Finalists or Champions, and one National Semi-Finalist.
