Impact FC is excited to announce the hiring of Craig Hollis as Director of Academy and Club Development.
Hollis comes to Statesville from upstate New York and brings strong experience coaching players from U6 to U15. He has a specialty in goalkeeper training and experience in developing a curriculum needed to help strengthen and grow our club.
He will be responsible for the Academy program, goalkeeper training, and general club development. He will serve as a liaison and resource for both volunteer and contracted professional coaches and will partner with our elected board of directors to determine the future path for the club.
"We are thrilled that Craig has picked Impact FC to become his next home," IFC President Chris Barker said. "I believe Craig will help this club become more stable and help grow the excitement for our program in the community."
Ken Mueller, IFC vice president, added: “I am excited to have added a director and coach like Craig to our club. His leadership at our Academy will ensure we are offering high quality training to our younger players and will solidify the position of Impact FC as one of the premier clubs in the region in the future. I look forward to working with Craig as we continue to develop our Club.”
The club issued the following comments made by Hollis:
I would like to start by thanking all at Impact FC for this fantastic opportunity. I am very eager to get started working with the players, coaches and staff members of the club and to start building strong relationships with this great community.
I have been very lucky throughout my career thus far, starting with four years of experience at Chelsea Football Club; moving to the USA and working with one of the top coaching companies in America, UK International Soccer; until recently becoming Director of Soccer for a brand new indoor facility in upstate New York. This past year I had the pleasure of being a head coach of Syracuse N.Y. premier soccer program at Syracuse Developmental Academy East.
I am very excited for the challenges ahead with Impact FC and look forward to building a complete, solid program based on true development for both the club’s players and its coaches. My goal for the club is to create an unmatched and professional soccer package that will have a positive and forever lasting impact on our community’s children that goes beyond the teachings of just soccer skills. We have to understand that this club is one big family, players, coaches, staff members, parents and our community in order to be successful, and I personally plan to cater to all its family members.
I look forward to meeting with everyone in the coming months and getting started on this great journey to hopefully bring you all a club you can be proud of.
