SPD: Guns stolen during recent break-ins

The Statesville Police Department is investigating several recent break-ins, including two in which several guns were stolen.

A total of seven guns were reported stolen during break-ins on Cherry Street and East Front Street.

Here are the crime reports for May 17 and May 18:

• Breaking & Entering/Larceny from a Residence, 900 block Cherry Street, May 18: Suspects kicked in front door, entered and stole jewelry valued at $1,000, a Mossberg AR style .22 rifle, a USA Tactical AR-15 .223 rifle that has a chrome barrel, a CAT9 9mm handgun, along with assorted ammo., and cleaning kit, a 52-inch Emerson TV, and an Arctic white Fender Squire Bass guitar precision model.

• Breaking & Entering/Larceny from a Residence, 600 block of East Front Street, May 18: Suspects entered via upstairs window, stole a 65-inch TV, a PS4 with 1TB hard drive, controllers, a Wii-U w/ controllers, a black CZ75 9mm pistol w/ blue grips, a Hi-Point C9 9mm carbine rifle, a Llama FS .45 pistol, and a Yankee Hill Machining AR lower receiver with Sig Sauer pistol brace. 17-11268

• Breaking & Entering/Larceny from a Residence, 1100 block of Adams Street, May 17: Suspect entered and stole a Samsung Elite tablet, Samsung Tab A tablet, Xbox One, two games for same, two iPhone 7s (32GB), two iPhone 6-pluses, and a smart watch.

• Breaking & Entering/Larceny from a Residence, 1200 block of Suncrest Avenue, between May 9 and May 15: Suspect pried open a back door of a vacant home and then pried open a crawl space, and stole a water heater.
