An Evening With 3rd Creek Bluegrass

Statesville Country Club's 3rd Annual Oktoberfest 5K

When: Saturday, Oct. 14, 7 a.m. to noon
Where: Statesville Country Club, 635 Deauville Road, Statesville
Details: The 5K Run will be held on the beautiful rolling hills of the Golf Course. In addition to the 5K Run, there will be a 5K Walk, 1 Mile Kids' Fun Run, Inflatables, a Breakfast Buffet and many other outstanding festivities. Proceeds benefit Lake Norman Humane. Fall Living History

When: Saturday, Oct. 14, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Fort Dobbs Historic Site, 438 Fort Dobbs Rd, Statesville
Details: Visitors will get a glimpse of what daily life was like for the garrison of Fort Dobbs through on-going displays of camp life, as well as scheduled musket and cannon firing demonstrations.

4th Annual Brody Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament

When: Saturday, Oct. 14, noon
Where: Lakewood Golf Club, 273 Old Airport Road, Statesville

BBQ Benefit for Cindy Adkins & Robin Jordan

Where: Western Avenue Baptist Church, 1206 Museum Road, Statesville
Details: Help raise funds to support the medical costs of both these special women, Cindy Adkins and Robin Jordan. Cost is $8 per plate, dine-in or take out. Fall Fun Days at Rescue Ranch

When: Saturday, Oct. 14, 11 am. to 4 p.m.
Where: Rescue Ranch, 1424 Turnersburg Highway, Statesville
