Offender Watch: Twenty-seven felons returned to Iredell in October

Twenty-seven convicted felons, including two men involved in murder cases and two sex offenders, returned to Iredell County in October after being released by the N.C. Department of Corrections.

Eleven of the 27 offenders completed their sentences, while 16 were released early on parole, according to the N.C. Department of Public Safety.

Here is a list of the men and women who were released:

OCTOBER 3
Stephanie McCall, 54, convicted of possession of a schedule VI controlled substance. Completed sentence.
Jermell D. Turner, 32, convicted of being an habitual felon. Released on parole.
Ralph Wilson, 68, convicted of being an habitual felon. Released on parole.

OCTOBER 4
Paul A. Morrison, 47, convicted of being an habitual felon. Released on parole.

OCTOBER 7
Clarence O. Heller, 33, convicted of possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Completed sentence.

OCTOBER 9
James R. Blansett, 48, convicted of second-degree kidnapping. Released on parole.
Terry L. Rankin, 27, convicted of selling a schedule VI controlled substance. Completed sentence.
Justine M. Thompson, 21, convicted of selling a schedule I controlled substance. Completed sentence.

OCTOBER 10
Kevin A. Foster, 26, convicted of indecent liberty with a child. Released on parole.
Bradley R. Hefner, 31, convicted of possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Completed sentence.
Rico L. Torrence, 34, convicted of habitual misdemeanor assault. Released on parole.

OCTOBER 12
Jarried Davis, 25, convicted of second-degree kidnapping. Released on parole.

OCTOBER 13
Ricky A. Cheney, 51, convicted of accessing computer without authorization. Completed sentence.

OCTOBER 14
Willard D. Houpe, 53, convicted of assault inflicting serious bodily injury. Released on parole.

OCTOBER 17
Byron L. Smyre, 27, convicted of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder. Released on parole.

OCTOBER 19
Anthony M. Coleman, 29, convicted of assault inflicting serious bodily injury. Released on parole.

Albert L. Donelson, 31, convicted of attempted trafficking in methamphetamine. Released on parole.

OCTOBER 22
Aaron K. Carpenter, 38, convicted of interfering with an electronic monitoring device. Completed sentence.
Marco S. Stamey, 34, convicted of trafficking a schedule I controlled substance. Released on parole.
Devin Q. Templeton, 21, convicted of common law robbery. Released on parole.

OCTOBER 24
Grady C. Campbell, 75, convicted of aggravated level I DWI. Completed sentence.
Melvin L. Leach, 38, convicted of being an habitual felon. Released on parole.

OCTOBER 25
Telly Q. Brooks, 42, convicted of attempted trafficking of a schedule I controlled substance. Released on parole.
Travis E. Casey, 37, convicted of sex offender/fail to notify authorities of address change. Completed sentence.
Jeffrey M. Nichols, 31, convicted of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder. Released on parole.

OCTOBER 26
Gina A. Hastings, 35, charged with trafficking opium/heroin. Completed sentence.

OCTOBER 28
Larry W. Pledger, 38, convicted of habitual impaired driving. Completed sentence.
