New group of Guardian ad Litem volunteers sworn in

The Guardian ad Litem program of District Court 22A (Iredell and Alexander Counties) has eleven new volunteers. They are Lari Stuckey, Steve Byrd, Sharon Lewis, Allan Bendel, Ann Gettys, Tinisha St. Brice, Jenny Gumaer, Paul Hamon, Jack St. Clair, Kristy Smith, and Emily Mikkelsen.

These new volunteers have completed 30 hours of training to become Guardian ad Litem volunteers. They will become the voices in court of abused/neglected children in their counties. They will also make sure the abused/neglected children do not fall between the cracks.

If you would like to become a volunteer, call the GAL office at 704-832-6621. All volunteers are trained so no special skills are required. You only need to be an adult with the desire to help a child.
