Four arrested after ICSO deputies raid Troutman drug house

Four people face drug charges after an Iredell County Sheriff's Office investigation into reports that drugs were being sold out of a home on Flower House Loop in Troutman.
After receiving numerus complaints from nearby residents, the ICSO Narcotics Division conducted surveillance operations in the area, Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release.
Once investigtors determined that activity at 240 Flower House Loop was consistent with a drug house, they began an active investigation, which included intercepting heroin leaving the residence, Campbell said.
Undercover narcotics detectives also purchased heroin out of the residence during the month-long investigation, according to the news release.
The investigation culminated on Friday, Jan. 12, with members of the ICSO Emergency Response Team executing a search warrant at the residence.
During the search, deputies seized methamphetamine, marijuana and xanax from inside the residence, along with needles, small balloons used for packaging heroin, scales, and plastic baggies, Campbell said.
Four suspects were arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center:
• James William Smith, 40, of Statesville, charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, and misdemeanor maintaining a dwelling or place for controlled substances;
• Nick Richard Shelton, 39, of Troutman, charged with misdemeanor maintaining a dwelling or place for controlled substances, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Amanda Krug, 32, of Troutman, charged with misdemeanor maintaining a dwelling or place for controlled substances, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Eric Wayne Brown, 33, of Troutman, charged with misdemeanor maintainin a dwelling or place for controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
