Salvation Army bells ringing to support local families

Last year, more than 8,600 toys and gifts were provided to families in Iredell County through the Salvation Army of the Carolinas.

The organization, which is known for its bell ringers and red kettles during the holiday season, provides assistance for families during the holidays through its Angel Tree program and toy drives.

The organization also provides assistance throughout the year, including Emergency Financial and Food Assistance programs. Last year, nearly 4,000 people were served in Iredell County.
