Piedmont HealthCare employees raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease

Piedmont HealthCare employees participated in Paint the Town Purple for Alzheimer’s Awareness on Friday. From purple shirts to purple hair, participants embraced the spirit of the day. The Accounting Department also sold purple paper Alzheimer flowers to raise funds in support of Alzheimer’s Awareness.

According to the Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's disease "is the most common form of dementia, a general term for memory loss and other cognitive abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life.
