Locke-Lane Construction recognized as Duke Energy’s Diverse Supplier of the Year

Locke-Lane Construction Inc., headquartered In Stony Point, recently received the 2017 Diverse Supplier Award of the Year at Duke Energy’s annual Supplier Exchange Forum.
Locke-Lane provides construction, engineering and project management services throughout the Southeast.
The Supplier Exchange Forum is designed to recognize the importance and value Duke Energy places on collaborating with suppliers who support the company’s commitment to include local workers, employ environmental stewardship practices and support of corporate responsibilities.
Duke Energy procured over $10 billon with more than 16,000 suppliers of goods and/or services while powering the lives of its customers and the vitality of its communities. For the second consecutive year, more than $1 billion was spent with minority-, women-, veteran-, service-disabled veteran-owned and HUBZone businesses either directly or through subcontracting.
Locke-Lane Construction, this year’s winner of the Supplier Excellence Award for Diverse Supplier of the Year, is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with over 20 years of combined engineering and construction experience.

Duke Energy has utilized Locke-Lane services on over 100 Duke Energy projects since 2008.

Two other companies received recognition at the Duke Energy’s Supplier Exchange Forum. The Guidant Group won the Corporate Responsibility Supplier of the Year award and AREVA NP was acknowledged as the 2017 Safety Supplier of the Year.
